I am not a patient of this facility, but would like to highlight the warm and amazing service I received over the phone every time I had to call there! I can only imagine how well they provide care to the community. I just moved to Texas and was looking for a PCM to do a physical. My insurance company gave this number and the name of a provider. When I called, I found this doctor was not taking new patients and is an internal medicine doctor. But everyone was so friendly and informative. They gave me the names of two other doctors they may be able to help. So I started the process again w my insurance, giving them those names. They were also in network, but the phone number was the same. This time when I called, I was connected to Miss Rosie. She had the demeanor of a grandmother! She told me about some resources to find a provider and went above and beyond to search for a provider actually in our area and in network. She said she has 23 years in health care and knows a thing or two about the insurance provider I have. And it can be a little tricky to navigate, but she wouldn't send me miles out of area when she wouldn't even do it herself. I definitely didn't feel like I was jus

I cannot say enough good things about the care I received at CommUnityCare. I was treated by resident physician Dr. Yousef Salem and attending physician Dr. Margaret Brown, and they were phenomenal. Dr. Salem has incredible bedside manner. He was extremely friendly, took the time to explain every single detail, and provided great education on both the procedures and general skin care health. As a full-time student heading into nursing school, I have a deep appreciation for resident clinics and the vital care they provide to the community. Dr. Salem’s expertise and professionalism are exactly what you want to see in the next generation of healthcare. Thank you to the entire team for providing such high-quality, compassionate care!

I’ve been dealing with this location for almost 2 years and still can’t get simple prescriptions filled. I have tried countless times attempting to be seen by someone who can simply prescribe the things I need. Doctors visits are 3 months out and you can’t even wait on standby to transfer. I am being told a different thing by everyone I see. Can’t raise my hair loss medication over a beginner dose despite still losing hair. Can’t get diabetes medication despite showing pre diabetic numbers and the medications proven health benefits. The dentist won’t prescribe the fluoride toothpaste or mouthwash I use. The psychiatrist won’t prescribe medications I have a history of using. I am offended that helpful medications that have proven to be greatly beneficial for my progression in life are now being gatekept from me as if I’m a junkie looking to abuse them. I know what works for me and not only have I done years on research on things that would befit me, but I am intelligent enough to not abuse anything nor do I have any desire to, but here we are being treated no different that an addict. Now my only options are to buy online illegally. Thanks

Staff and medical personnel are very very nice at least the staff for the doctor I saw. Spent very good amount of time with me to make sure all my needs were met. Dr. David Escamilla is one of the best most thorough doctors Ive ever seen. So grateful he is my GP

Sarah Lupercio, a dental hygienist at this location, was unbelievably rude to me and her behavior was borderline hateful. As a social services professional myself, it is very important to me to speak up when I come across providers in community services who treat clients poorly, as I have no doubt that I am not the only community care client that she has spoken to in this way. Her attitude reflected a level of judgment that is not only inappropriate for this type of work but truly is completely unacceptable. I always recommend that individuals with biases like this look into working at a private clinic if they cannot handle burnout or find themselves simply unable to empathize with vulnerable client populations. In fact, it is actively harmful to continue working in this field as well as unethical if you are someone who finds yourself moralizing the issues and barriers that your low income client population faces! What Happened: I came in today for a standby appointment to get my teeth cleaned. Over the past two weeks I have been having severe and have had two appointments at community care dental, which were good, in order to receive a dental cleaning. I had already been told th
